Worthy Women Project: Priscilla Whitehouse

“The WORTHY WOMEN PROJECT aims to ignite strength in ALL women by sharing their stories. You are fearfully and wonderfully made!”

– Ashley Nicole

What do you remember learning about beauty from a young age? What impacted you the most that you’ve carried with you into adulthood (positive or negative)?

Being kind that beauty comes within and radiates out. I’ve always been taught that beauty is what beauty does. A person can be so beautiful on the outside but not so beautiful on the inside and it shows.

Tell me your story! What life experiences have made you who you are today?

I had a rough childhood, but always wanted to be better and do better. As an adult I was taught the golden rule. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. That has always been the motto I tried to live by with God’s grace of course leading the way.

What is your definition of beauty?

If you want to see how beautiful a person is look into their eyes and you can see true beauty if it’s there it will show because whatever is on the inside of a person’s heart shows on the outside of their lives. Our eyes are definitely a window to our souls and so much more, eyes can reveal a whole lot without saying one word.

Do you think you are beautiful?

Yes, I have been told I am and I try my best to be with how I treat others.

What is your favorite NON physical feature about yourself? (After all, beauty is a light in the heart!)

Respect, kindness, honest, straight forward

What words of wisdom, based on your personal experience, would you like to share with others who struggle to see their own beauty?

Always follow peace. If you can not find peace in it whatever it may be, then you need to take a different direction. Life ain’t always fair or easy, but we can take all that life throws at us with our faith in God and perseverance to overcome any obstacle.

Why are beautiful photos important for you right now?

There comes a time in a woman’s life when she just needs to feel beautiful although she’s told she just wants that something extra to remind her that she is…

How does being the woman you are today make you uniquely powerful?

I’m a mother a Nana a wife a friend. Experience is the best teacher life has made me who I am today, but my relationship with God makes me better daily.

I traded my ashes for beauty I am who I am because of everything I have endured. I’m a warrior from a child.”
